Pet by Isabella Starling

My name is Pet. My story is going to break your heart.

The first thing you should know about me, is that I’m a good girl.
I follow directions. I bend at the waist. I do anything and everything my King tells me to.
But King is demanding. King is dangerous. He wants to hurt me.
And there is only one person who can help me run away from King…
Except I don’t know if I want to leave him. I don’t know if I can.

Good pets always obey their master… But what if I want to have two?

MY REVIEW.

This book has broke me,i just don’t know where to start with this review as this isn’t your typical love story with a HEA,it is a dark, disturbing read but had me hooked where i couldn’t put this down.It is the most emotional, heartbreaking story that i have read in a long long time so i realy want to let you know how powerful this story is, so i will start at the begining.

It starts with Sapphire (pet)  who is a broken young 18 year old with a sassy mouth that meets Haden King by chance working as a waitress at a gallery. He is a dominant and cruel older male that sees Sapphire and wants to have her,and her her he does at any cost. How he treats her is hard and cruel and he wants her as his Pet,but the more they are together and he learns of her abusive past the more these pair are falling for each other.

I realy wanted to hate King for how he treated Pet,but as you get through the heartbreak and reasons why he was who he was, i realy warmed to him.King is wicked but delicious at the same time and you will either love him or hate him,i loved him.

This book is not for the faint hearted as it goes into some graphic details and has lots of erotic sex scenes through out which had me panting a few times.I don’t think i have ever read a book that was so intense with dark themes but also soft blanket themes with some humour and laughter,it keep my attention at every twist and turn wanting and waiting with baited breath to find out how it all ended.

OMG i did not see this ending at all as there is a reason behind every action from King, but it wont be clear until near the end,but be warned you will need hankies by the dozen, as emional does not even come close, this will break you.

I hope i have done this book justice for the fantasic read it is,i would give this lots more than 10 stars.Isabella Starling has captured me and put me through the ringer with this book,i now need to breath again.this will stay with me along time to come.

Wicked Things by Callie Hart.

“This is the reason I called her my angry girl in the first place. I was teasing her back then, but the truth of the matter is that she impressed me. She blew me away with her strength of character and her fire. She’s not just angry. She’s fierce. She’s determined. She’s strong. She’s brave as f#*$. She is everything she needs to be in order to withstand being in love with a man like me, and I am eternally grateful for that fact.”

Zeth Mayfair is on a mission to take care of business in New York. The only problem? The Babieri family seem intent on taking care of him. Permanently.

Sloane Romera’s just beginning to wrap her head around the idea of being a mother. When she’s shoved into the back of a black panel van without so much as the chance to scream, she finally realizes she’ll do whatever it takes to protect the growing child inside her.

And when Zeth finds out what’s happened to his Angry Girl…

…seattle had better prepare for fireworks.

MY REVIEW.

Wow!! Exciting and Kickass just two words to discribe this book.

I am still trying to get my breath back from this marathon read.As this book will have you glued to your seat all the way through and wont let you out untill this exciting, thrilling ride has compleatly finished, and what a ride you are in for with this powerful couple that is Zeth Mayfair and Sloane Romera.

This carries on from book two with Zeth being pissed off with the Barbiiers Family, so Zeth being Zeth he goes to New York to sort this family out once and for all, as you don’t mess with him and get away with it.But he does not expect the outcome that he gets on his return and that someone has threatened Zeths world ‘Sloane’,you don’t get to do this and live to tell the tail.

We get to see more of Mason and Kaya’s characters in this book also which i loved,my heart broke for what Mason had gone through with losing his sister but Kaya dosen’t give up on him and i hope there is more in store for this couple in the future.

I love this couple ‘Zeth and Sloane’, and the hot sex between these two is still very much thigh clenching as its always been between them,as Sloane doesn’t let her pregnacy get in the way of anything, she is still a kickass woman that trusts zeth with her life.

Near the end you see a softer side of Zeth (only marginally mind) which had me in tears for this hard as nails alpha male,it made me totally sob reading this part.

Callie Hart i love your writting, with your amazing imagination which never fails to amaze me,you took me on a ride of my life with this fantasic series that i never want to get off,i am just hoping that there is alot more to come.

MY REVIEW.

Well !! I can honestly say i have never read a book quite like this before,it was recommened to me a while ago by a few book friends to give this a go.

To start with it was a bit confusing as there was five different character story’s and i must admit i had to keep remembering who was with who,but once i got more into the five very different lives and how they eneded up being matched with ‘the one’, i was hooked and it was hard to put this book down,as i was desperate to then find out how there storys unfolded.

This ended up additive after a slow and confusing start,it got me thinking that what if we could meet ‘the one’ through our DNA,this has stuck in my mind days after i finished this book which tells you that John Marrs is a cleaver man.

There was good and bad DNA matches that it made you think what you would do if and when you found that match for yourself, how would you react or sacrifice, if it was you that was put in that possition, quite scary.

This book was very much out of my prefered genre that i normally read, but i would recommend this book as a very unique story told through a third person, and i guantee that it will keep you hooked till the end. This is the first book i have read from John Marrs but i will definitly be reading more from this Author as you even mentioned my town of Sanicre where i live.

I give this 4 & half very deserved stars.

MY REVIEW.

A Gripping Thrilling ride.

I was given this book for a honest review.
This is the first book i have read from this Author, i was not dissappointed at all,it had me gripped from the begining to the very end and i found it hard to put this book down.I must admit I havent felt this way about a book in awhile,so when i do and it keeps my attention all the way through which *The Mayfly* did,i know i will definity be reading more from this Author.

Charlie Priest explodes onto the pages right from the off as a Policeman turned Lawyer, a strong, intriguing and funny guy that had me gripped with the plot that was unfolding, which keep me guessing right up to the end, with bumpy rides, lots of twist and turn’s around every corner that kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know who was *The Mayfly*.
Wow i did not see this ending coming it was exhilarating and very hard to put down,i stayed up till 2am so i could finished this book.

I loved Charlie Priest’s character and i hope that there is more to come from this policeman turned Lawyer who suffers from Dissociation Disorder.
I have given this book a very very deserved 5 stars as it was a gripping thriller that from the off kept me reading until i had to know how this plot ended,as it stretched over decades and decades with a plot that started from the second world war.GRIPPING.

Rosie

They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They’re right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister’s ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.

Dean

In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.

MY REVIEW.

WOW 5 Huge Huge Stars,EMOTIONAL and THRILLING.
This is the third book in this series, starting with Vicious,Defy then Ruckus, and i thought that nothing could beat the first book but WOW this is my favouite by far,i loved it.
This book broke my heart and also made me smile, for me that is a sure winner and kept my attention all the way though.
Dean was a hot sexy, hard drinking, pot smoking manwhore, who had lots of problems from his past but as soon as he saw Rosie she was the only girl for him,but a decade went past before they met up again, and the spark was still there for them both.

This story about Dean Cole and Rosie LeBlanc starts after Rosie was back on the * singles* scene as this pair had been in love for a decade and neiher knew that about the other. These two are a epitome of soulmates that for me was desind to have that HEA.
I fell in love with this pair,Dean with his dirty talk and Rosie with her sassy mouth,i loved this story and was a nervous wreck thoughtout this book, as couldn’t put it down,i read this in two very quick sessions.
Rosie had Cystic Fibrosis and was living on borrowed time with Dean not being the easest of boyfriends but his love for Rosie had no bounds and was all comusming that it broke my heart, and i was scared he was going to mess up.

The ending i didn’t see coming that it blew me away and had me in tears (damm you for that L.J.Shen) but i wouldn’t of had it any other way,you had me on the edge of my seat what the outcome would be.This story will stay with me for along time i am sure, and for a writter to do that you just know that was a hell of a great book

Flux by Marissa Farrar

51J92mYpvLL

Entertating and fabulous.

I loved this first book from Marissa Farrar in the flux series,it was different from her other books i have read, which makes a refreshing change as i like to read a different varity of books out of the genre i normally read.
This urban fantasy series got me hooked right away after Ari had been involed in a bombing blast accident and came out with only a few bumps and scratches, where most of the people around her either died along with her sister or was seriously injured.
She starts to beleive her sister is hauting her as strange things start happening, lights blowing out, water running and things moving by themselfs, but later realises that she is the one that has been doing all this herself.

Thats when she first meets Hunter who explains all about what is happening to her and takes her to meet more of her kind and explains that she has telekinetics, that her life now as she knows it, is over,as they have to go into hiding along with 18 others in a cave underneath San Francisco,as people are looking for them, they all beleive it is the goverment.
Ari has to learn how to control her emotions as this is what triggers it all off ,but with Hunter and Kit helping her she starts to learn how to control some of her telekinetics and tunel it.

The attraction between Ari and Hunter was slow to start but it soon heated up the more into the story you read,i loved the romance between these two as they had a conection between them, there was plenty of action along the way also.

This was a nice easy read and i am looking forward to the next book in this series from Marissa.

MY REVIEW.

Fantasic book from a new Author

I recieved this ARC from Tracie Delaney for a honest review.

This is the first book for this new Author in her Winning Ace Trilogy.I must admit i was nervous before i picked this up, because she was writting her first ever book i really wanted to get stuck in and hoped i was in for a great ride along with her.

Well *WOW* you sure shocked me (in a good way) as right from the first chapter this book had me hooked and it kept my attention thought out this story that unfolded between Cash and Natalia (Tally).

I do like a good romance with some hot, nail-biting sex scenes ,which this had in abundance, also with lots of twist to the story which also had heaps of, i was definitly not dissappoint at all the more i got through this book.

The story was a romance between Cash and Natelia who were worlds apart but with determination Cash shows how he was never about to give up hope on Natalia at any cost .I loved the way Cash wooed Natalia and never gave up even when things got rough.I had no idea how this book was going to end which i love when reading a book as it keeps you guessing right till the last page.

Well i am truely hooked on this Triogy and cant wait for the next book in this series to find out what happens between these two and the secretes that Cash has burried but must now come to light.

The Dark Light of Day by T.M.Frazier.

Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, Abby meets Jake, a tattooed blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own. Two broken souls that can’t be healed, they can’t be saved. Abby and Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another, but within themselves.

If they can accept each other for who they really are they might learn that love isn’t always found in the light…

WARNING: This is NOT your typical romance.
The story of Jake & Abby contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse.

MY REVIEW.

WOW just WOW.

To say i loved this book is a understatment,I give this 5 humongous stars.I read this book after all the Kings series.

This book had everything it was gripping, dark and told of two broken people and how they came together.

This is Jake and Abby’s story of how they met and what it took for them both to learn to trust and love, and what it took to get there.
Abby might of only been seventeen but she had been through so much in her young life from abusive junkie parents who treat her worst than a anima,l to the foster system before she moved in with her *nan*.
When her nan dies she has no one to turn to and ends up sleeping in a junkyard where she meets Jake the blond haired, blue eyed, broody hot sexy male with a darkness that surrounds him,but made her feel safe. They both have a troubled pasts and to get to know each other they play a game of questions and answers to get there pasts out on the table so to speak.
This is not your typical love story as both were broken and there journey spanned over 4 years. After a night of trust and love between them, Jake went off to do his *job* and Abby was the happest she had been ever, but that was not to last as later she finds herself at the hands of her sycopath (so called friend) Owen, who then abused her in the worst possible way.But for Jake to return weeks later and not trust Abbey about what had happened was hard for Abby, and he just up and left before finding out the truth.
It was 4 years later that Jake comes back to Coral Pines for his dad’s funeral, to find that Abby has a 3 year old daughter Georgia, who he belives is his, until Abby puts him straight.
There was so many ups and downs for Jake and Abby that had me bawling as there past was revieled along the way throughout this story. This book had me hooked right from the off of how two broken people despite all the obstacles in there way managed to find the love that we all dream about,it had me gripped all the way through for the HEA i so wanted.
T.M.Frazier is a genius as she had my emotions in her hand and got me right into Jake and Abby’s world and didn’t let me go untill the last word on the end page.Fantasic.
